most of you got to overreact to week 1 of the NFL yesterday. I get to do so today. The Lions looked like the 2013 Lions for about 5 minutes in the second quarter piling up some stupid penalties. Then for the other 55 minutes they looked like a new team that gives me some hope for 2014. Only big problem are injuries to an already thin secondary. Hopefully they go after Champ Bailey.

Well, don't overreact too much.
The Giants are an unmitigated dumpster fire.

No doubt about it, but against that dumpster fire the Lions gave up just 1 legitimate offensive drive and pretty well shut down that bad offense the rest of the game. The Lions offense also did extremely well with the exception of running the ball... the Lions rushing attack was awful.

Go Lions. Sucks about Bill Bentley, I always thought he had potential. Lawson played well in his place though.

Slay and Mathis are the 2 CB they can't afford to lose this year. It would be nice though if Bailey has enough in the tank to contribute.

I walked into the bar and the lions were up 14-0 in the 1st and I thought to myself "So this is why nobody's drinking....."
